Templeton Close - There are currently 4 metres of double yellow lines at the junction with Doyle Avenue. PCC will draw up a proposal to extend them on one side to improve access. This will be included in the next Traffic Regulation Order to be advertised for formal consultation.
Kipling Road - A proposal to reduce the double yellow lines in Kipling Road is due to be advertised shortly. This aims to allow around 4 extra parking spaces, which can be achieved now that the road is one-way. Further suggestions from residents are welcomed, and will be considered on the grounds of road safety and traffic management. Torrington Rd / Windemere Rd - double yellow lines were installed on this junction in 2006. Following concerns from residents over loss of parking, the minimum lengths of restrictions were introduced. Whilst it is possible to advertise an amendment, it may again provoke concern over reducing parking space.
