The Highways Agency is resurfacing sections of the A27 carriageway between the end of the M27 at Hilsea and the A3023 Langstone Road junction.
The westbound carriageway will be closed between these locations from 10pm to 6am on Monday 9 and Tuesday 10 January, and the eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight on Wednesday 11 January. Clearly signed diversion routes will be in use during these closure periods.
The sections are being resurfaced due to deterioration and this work will improve road safety and reduce the need for future maintenance.
The Highways Agency and its contractors work to strict procedures to ensure minimal noise at night.
