Earlier this month the Council changed rubbish and recycling day for residents across the City.
The dates have changed because the Council has a new waste collection contractor, Biffa.
The new contract started on Monday 3rd October and aims to save money while maintain the same level of service, i.e. weekly rubbish collection and fortnightly recycling collections.
A leaflet with the new delivery times on it should have been sent to all households in the City, but many residents have reported that they have not received it. Councillor Alistair Thompson is investigating why so many households failed to receive the leaflet, but he told us that if residents had not received any information then they can find information about the new collection dates by visiting the council’s website or by clicking on the link below.
